About NPHRRL
Nekemte Public Health Research & Referral Laboratory (NPHRRL) is a regional public health referral laboratory located in Nekemte Town, East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia. The laboratory provides specialized diagnostic, referral, research, and surveillance services that strengthen disease prevention, outbreak response, and evidence-based public health decision-making.
Serving an estimated population of more than 11 million people across western Oromia, NPHRRL collaborates with hospitals, health centers, universities, government institutions, and development partners to improve laboratory quality, expand diagnostic capacity, and strengthen Ethiopia’s public health laboratory system.

Providing advanced laboratory investigations for specimens referred from hospitals, health centers, and regional laboratories.
